Effective date: November 1, 2026. This policy covers NotchVoice for Mac, distributed through the Mac App Store.
- NotchVoice does not collect any data. Nothing about you, your voice or your use of the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Speech recognition, translation, text cleanup and read-aloud all run on your Mac using Apple's built-in, on-device technologies.
- Your audio is not recorded or stored. It is processed in memory while you dictate and then discarded.
- No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. The app has no permission to make network connections of its own.
Microphone and speech
NotchVoice listens to the microphone only while you are dictating. The audio is turned into text on your Mac with Apple's on-device speech recognition and is never saved to disk or sent to a server.
The first time you use a language, macOS may need to download Apple's speech or translation language files. That download is handled by macOS itself under Apple's privacy policy; NotchVoice does not send your audio or text with it.
Accessibility and the clipboard
With your permission, NotchVoice uses the macOS Accessibility feature for three things only: to paste the finished text into the app you are using, to recognize the keyboard shortcuts you set to start dictation or read aloud, and to read the text you have selected when you ask it to read aloud.
It does not log, store or send your keystrokes or screen contents. To insert text, NotchVoice briefly places it on the clipboard, pastes it, and then puts your previous clipboard contents back.
What stays on your Mac
- Settings, such as languages, shortcuts, appearance and prompts, are stored in the app's private sandbox container.
- Insights: local daily counts (words, speaking time, sessions) shown in Settings → Insights. They are never uploaded.
- Transcription history is off by default. If you turn it on, NotchVoice writes your dictations to plain-text files in a folder on your Mac that you can open, choose or delete at any time (Settings → Dictation → Clear History).
- File transcription: when you drop an audio or video file, NotchVoice reads only that file and saves the transcript as a text file next to it or in a folder you choose.
Deleting your data
Turn off or clear history in Settings. Deleting NotchVoice from your Mac removes its container, including all settings and Insights data. Transcript and history files you saved in your own folders stay until you delete them.
What we don't do
- No personal data, usage data, diagnostics, contacts or identifiers are collected.
- No third-party SDKs, analytics or advertising networks.
- No data is sold or shared, because none is collected.
If you choose to email support, your message is used only to answer you.
Children
NotchVoice does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

- NotchVoice no recopila ningún dato. Nada sobre ti, tu voz o cómo usas la app se envía a nosotros ni a nadie.
- El reconocimiento de voz, la traducción, la limpieza del texto y la lectura en voz alta funcionan en tu Mac con tecnologías integradas de Apple, en el dispositivo.
- Tu audio no se graba ni se guarda. Se procesa en memoria mientras dictas y luego se descarta.
- Sin cuenta, sin analítica, sin publicidad, sin rastreo. La app no tiene permiso para hacer conexiones de red propias.
Micrófono y voz
NotchVoice escucha el micrófono solo mientras dictas. El audio se convierte en texto en tu Mac con el reconocimiento de voz en el dispositivo de Apple y nunca se guarda en disco ni se envía a un servidor.
La primera vez que usas un idioma, macOS puede necesitar descargar los archivos de voz o traducción de Apple. Esa descarga la hace macOS bajo la política de privacidad de Apple; NotchVoice no envía tu audio ni tu texto con ella.
Accesibilidad y portapapeles
Con tu permiso, NotchVoice usa la función de Accesibilidad de macOS solo para tres cosas: pegar el texto terminado en la app que estás usando, reconocer los atajos de teclado que configuraste para dictar o leer en voz alta, y leer el texto seleccionado cuando pides leerlo en voz alta.
No registra, guarda ni envía lo que escribes ni el contenido de tu pantalla. Para insertar texto, NotchVoice lo pone un instante en el portapapeles, lo pega y después restaura lo que tenías antes.
Lo que se queda en tu Mac
- Ajustes, como idiomas, atajos, apariencia y prompts, se guardan en el contenedor privado (sandbox) de la app.
- Estadísticas (Insights): conteos diarios locales (palabras, tiempo hablado, sesiones) que ves en Ajustes → Insights. Nunca se suben.
- Historial de transcripciones: viene desactivado. Si lo activas, NotchVoice escribe tus dictados en archivos de texto en una carpeta de tu Mac que puedes abrir, elegir o borrar cuando quieras (Ajustes → Dictation → Clear History).
- Transcripción de archivos: cuando sueltas un archivo de audio o video, NotchVoice lee solo ese archivo y guarda la transcripción como texto junto a él o en una carpeta que elijas.
Eliminar tus datos
Desactiva o borra el historial en Ajustes. Al eliminar NotchVoice de tu Mac se borra su contenedor, con todos los ajustes y estadísticas. Los archivos de transcripción o historial que guardaste en tus carpetas quedan ahí hasta que los borres.
Lo que no hacemos
- No se recopilan datos personales, de uso, diagnósticos, contactos ni identificadores.
- Sin SDK de terceros, analítica ni redes publicitarias.
- No vendemos ni compartimos datos, porque no recopilamos ninguno.
Si decides escribir a soporte por correo, solo usamos tu mensaje para responderte.
Menores
NotchVoice no recopila información de nadie, incluidos los menores.
Cambios y contacto
Si esta política cambia, la nueva versión se publicará en esta página con una nueva fecha.
